Another Week

Next week would be the last week for me to spend time in Russia. I am so busy preparing my final year project presentation and at the same time, job hunting. I had submitted my CV to several companies mostly in marine technologies and oil and gas, so I received some replies, both, some disappoint me and some excite me. But its okay I just need to try more and be better for upcoming interviews.

So my final year presentation would be on 19th June, then meeting with embassy and MARA representatives on 21st, then going to Moscow on 22nd for 5 days. Basically I only have 5 days to spend after my trip back from Moscow, spending my last moment here no matter how hard my life was for the last 4 years it's still gonna be a memory that I will remember.

Then 1st July me and my friend will go to Istanbul for 5 days, chilling, relaxing, touring despite the chaos that we all know from the media. I don't know why but it's  the second time my holiday plan interrupted by this kind of event. My first winter holiday in 2010 was cancelled because of the chaos in Egypt and now this. But after did some research, they say the it still safe for tourist to go on with their summer holiday plan in Turkey. Hope so.

Then I will be in Malaysia on July 5th, my sister gonna fetch me and my friend. Its Friday so I will use my sister's car and spend 2 days in Melaka, my parent's second home waiting for Monday to settle up with MARA headquarters then drive to Terengganu. I'm gonna spend my 1st Ramadhan in Terengganu, with my friend's family then home on 3rd or 4th Ramadhan.

Tomorrow have to call Mr. Zulkifli for some phone questionnaires regarding my application to Petronas Carigali Sdn. Bhd. and I really hope I get a job before October. One thing about work, don't be to choosy even you are overseas graduate. Start humbly, gain experience as much as you can, be responsible and make it your priority. I believe that.

Missing

I was 10 when I had my first pet. It was a guppy, skinny body with a very pretty purple tail. I bought it at the pet shop on my way back from school with Farouk at that time. I still remember the uncle gave me that guppy in an inflated plastic back with some of it's food

When I reached home, I forgot a thing that is the most important; place for my pet. I changed my cloth, bring my guppy and rode my bicycle to Farouk's. Uncle Hashim was doing some gardening that time when he saw me with the fish. He is a fish lover, so he owns some of gigantic aquariums at his home.

I told him about my problem. He just laughed and told me to wait. Later, he went out with a small plastic aquarium that just nice for my fish to call it a home. I thanked him and went home without even seeing Farouk. I put my fish in that container along with the water. The uncle said that I shouldn't use tap water because of the chlorine. Voila! he seems happy with his new home

After a week or two, our school holiday season started. We as always would spend time at my grandpa's in Melaka. Unfortunately there's no way I could bring an aquarium in the car. So I just leave it at usual place, on the table.

After returning  from Melaka, my aquarium wasn't there anymore. It was on the floor, along with my guppy. I  just staring at it and suddenly my mom said it was bitten, by a cat. I didn't feel sad but more to angry. I hate  them because of their fur which is always give me uncomfortable feeling in my nose, and at that time I have another reason to hate them more. Since that day, every time I saw cats, I just feel hatred. I'll pick pebbles and throwing at them. I hate them  not because of it was one of their species killed my guppy but looking at them remind me of that moment of losing something I precious.

Sometime, the feeling of losing and missing something or someone is just complicated. It can be happy and sweet or it can be sad and sour. Your choice.

Price of Honesty

I always believe that everything start with honesty. Without that quality, we won't get the result we want no matter how hard you try. Sometime everything will be a lot easier if you put your honesty in what you do.

When I was in Malaysia last November, I met a very good guy, a student from Jordan. He is the representative for the Malaysian community who fought for Islamic's student for getting scholarship.

Let me tell you briefly about the situation in Jordan. Mostly the student came to Jordan to pursue their studies in Islamic. So they applied for placement in university and went there by themselves. So after a year or two, they start to apply for government scholarship. But none of their application was taken seriously before.

This great guy I met fought for their rights. We all know this Islamic studies isn't a priority for government to give scholarship but he stand up and speak. Later that day, we become a close friend. I asked him about Jordan, I listened about his life and his friend's, and I learned many thing.

One evening after a meeting, we went to hotel where we staying together. It was raining and we walk along the PWTC sidewalk, then up the crossing bridge. It was packed of people because it's already late and of course, rain.

There was an old woman holding his son near the stairs. Wearing old batik, sitting on a piece of newspaper, and holding plastic cup for money.  The people just walked by as if that old woman is an invisible human. I can say most of them are wearing the white smart shirt with that little logo, a logo that was created to protect and to care Malay peoples. But no one stopped by, not even look at her, until this friend of mine stopped and giving RM 10 note.

That old woman just stared at him blankly as he walked away after giving a RM 10 note which to him doesn't mean anything compared to hardness that old woman gone through. He said to me if my fate is to be a leader for our people, I need to do job with honesty and never ever hoping for a big reward for everything I do in the future.

Yes. He is right. You can meeting all day, from early in the morning till late night in that beautiful building, wearing that logo which entrusted by million people, but what is the meaning of all that if you can't even help people in need just because they can't afford fancy suits like yours?

Man of Honor

Its 6.03 in the morning. 20 minutes ago I was on my bed lying down trying to sleep as I have meeting with my advisor, Mr. Danilovski at 1. Unfortunately I can't sleep. So I get up, took my ipad and called my dad.

He picked my call with his usual panic voice as if something bad happened. Usually, if I have something important to tell, I would call my mum rather than my dad. I don't know the reason why I choose like that but for me it is not a big deal anyway. But this time is different. I called my dad.

Our conversation started just the same like always, a question for me if I am doing okay. I said I am all okay and he moved to another topic which is parent's favorite question ; exam.

We talked a little bit and I asked him about his health, work and how's the family. From our conversation, I heard glass clinking. Its 10 am over there and I know his routine having teh tarik at this time.

He always taught me how to be a man. A man should act like a real man. A real man should be gentle, a real man should respect other people so we get respect in return, never take other people belongings, and always seek for forgiveness. His very first advice when I was in boarding school for the first time is ; If you do anything wrong and your teacher reported to me, I will disappointed with you. I will forgive you somehow but not hurting other kids. That's I won't forgive you.

He taught us with full of love. I never saw him using harsh words in front of family and never lay a finger on us but correct us in a very gentle way. Sometime when we having roti canai outside, he would tell me his plans for family and from that, I know how much he care and love us.

I was in boarding school and he late for my graduation when I was in form 3 and can't attend my graduation when I was in form 5. I don't feel disappointed with him in fact I am proud because he tried. He once told me ; There are things that I can't give to you but you can always ask them. Not to me but to god. He owns everything.

Sometime its such a relief just to hear his voice over the phone and have our so ordinary talk. I am proud of you :)

Lots of love,
your son.

Green Sampin

When I was in middle school, it is compulsory to attend "Sekolah Agama" in Johor. Our session started at noon so we got some time left for about an hour to lunch before changing our attire and walked to our sekolah agamal which is not far from our sekolah kebangsaan.

I still remember, me and my friends used to sit at the canteen on recess time and we talked about almost everything from wrestling to football. Sometime we planned our activity together for the weekend which will ended up playing fooball eventually.  When the school session ended, we will wait for each other in front of the school gate and going back home together.

One day I realized that its been days my friend, Syakirin didn't attend school. The thing is, we felt something not right when one of our friend seems missing. I still remember well the day when we don't wait for him in front of the gate because he never went to school anymore.

But then, almost everyday he will wait for us at the bus stop with his usual favorite tee and his bicycle. Me and my friend will spend sometime just to sit at the bus stop, eating  snacks together and tell stories like we used to while waiting for going back home.

After sometime I asked him why he never go to school again. Our teachers seem to forgot his name already as they didn't call his name again for attendance.

Then he said to me : My dad need to stop my schooling because it cost a lot of money. Text books are so expensive, baju melayu, songkok and stuff too. It cost too much and there's no other way than just stop.

I just listen to him silently. Then I remember how me and my dad going out to buy the songkok and baju melayu. You know, at that time as a kid your baju melayu always getting smaller so fast. In fact it is you who growing up, not your baju melayu getting smaller.

Then I remember how expensive the textbooks. Later that day, I pull out all my textbooks. Sirah, Tajwid, Fiqah, every single of it. Then I flip them at the back and search for their prices. The most cheapest is about RM 9 if I'm not mistaken.

Then I understand well why he never goes to school ever again. The higher the education, means the bigger the price you have to pay. Our education system

I Quit

The result of the general election of 2013 has been announced late night yesterday. I just can say that the result isn't what I'm expecting for. I thought about the reason for quite sometime yesterday and in fact we still discussing it today (me and my friends).

We Malaysian want a better country, a place of we as multiracial society can live together, helping each other and where the word "racism" doesn't apply. I found so many comments on social networking that full with racism. The Malays blamed the Chinese for having too much "power" as they said and the Chinese accused the Malays for not being fair to them as they also are citizens of Malaysia and pay the same tax as well.

That's the usual scene we can see but on our past GE, I found something interesting. Ghost voters/pengundi hantu. This is the dirtiest thing a political party can do and I believe it was not the first time. Lets take a look

I don't know if I can be proud holding our ID anymore if they can be bought this easy

This is not your country. You even spelled the PM's name wrong

Who are you to talk about the Bumiputera policy?

And now, racist sentiment?

This Pakistanian publicly say MY country is HIS country, selling our own ID freely on social networking, bad talk to our Chinese and Indian friends. Just now I saw a footage of a middle aged woman in Baling, Kedah tried to claim her "money" after voting for Barisan Nasional. It was.. terrible and once again, I can say it was not the first time.

As a youth, as a Malaysian I felt so disappointed of this kind of political scene. You can win the parliament seats, you can win with money but you can't win the "trust" from your citizen if

I am the one entrusted to be the chairman of UMNO of Saint Petersburg, Russia for 2 years and given responsibilities to be the political inspector for the general election last week. With all due respect, I resign from any political/organization associated with UMNO and Barisan Nasional.

Javanese Mask

I satisfied with my simple header picture. Actually I got that from Jenny Suk's wordpress so I took it from that wordpress theme. I always love paintings since I was in school but I know the good one will cost you damn much (classic Javanese painting which I prefer). Since I don't have my own place, and my dad isn't a "painting" friendly so its okay. I once have this giant picture in my room and he kept on asking me to put it down. It's my room so in that area I'm the boss so who cares? Then after some time, when I got back from boarding school for holiday, Mr. Bruce wan't there anymore. That time you can feel the coziness.. and empty at the same time. Since that day I just like the way my room is.

I told Miss Auni once that I'm gonna buy Javanese fretwork and put it in the house. She simply said "NOO!" without mercy. *sigh* I know it is not recommended for us Muslims to put things like that in the house.

Buy this and put it on the wall, just right above the TV. Your kids won't spend much time on cartoons anymore. Bam! Problem settled!

ps : Watch out too Miss Auni. Hehe

Election 13

Today is Sunday 28th, the voting day for Malaysian who live abroad. As for today, actually I have some work to do at the Embassy of Malaysia in Moscow but unfortunately I have a very big exam tomorrow.

Since I can't be there for support as a Malaysian, I really wish the voters choose the best for our country, for our next generation. I really wish to see Malaysia as a country free from corruption, scandals, crony, unfairness and what's more important is for our kids to feel the meaning of being a Malaysian.

Our history will never fade and from that history we learn to change. Don't be afraid of changes!

Sleeping Child of Inca

While I scrolled down the Facebook timeline, I saw this interesting image and I googled more about it. This is about the Inca empire or popular by its name "Empire of the sun" which began in Peru in the early 13th century. The people at that time lived in mountain's area and they believed of volcanoes god.

So as we all know, people at that period of time still can't fully understand the concept of god. Like in the movies, they sacrificed their "choosen" kids to the god of mountain.

The lightning girl

This is a 6 year old girl which was drugged and left at the mountain's top. Scientist believe the body later strucked by lightning

Llullaillaco Boy

This body was found with blood stains by his mouth and dislocated limb. This boy may have been stabbed and strangled before left at the mountain

Llullaillaco Girl

Finally, Girl frozen for 500 years. This girl who was killed as an offering to the Inca gods sometime between 1450 and 1480, at approximately 11-15 year old. This is the best-preserved mummy ever found with internal organ intact, blood still present in the heart and lungs, and skin and facial features mostly unscathed. She looks like a sleeping child at the time she was found.

Scientist examine the body based on the isotopes found in the hair.

We Are Marines

(Left to right)- Mr. Cistiakov(power plant), Mr. Shamberov(automatics), Mr. Arkhipov(boilers), Mr. Chernov(pumps)

This week I got bundle of projects to submit and Alhamdulillah everything went well, same goes with the exams. InsyaAllah by next week we'll done with papers and start to concentrate on the final project which will define our degree.

I got consultation at 3 pm today on the machine details, some kind of engineering subject which I don't know how to explain in english but I surely know that it is compulsory and very important to naval architectures which is not me. I'm in marine engineering field, about the power plant of ship (engine, boiler, system etc) but naval architecture more to designing (that's why there's word "architecture" I suppose?)

So after exam on SEU at 8.30 am and Automatics at 12 pm, I went back home and waiting for that consultation which is at the different building.  The important thing I'm trying to say is on my way to campus, somehow I feel I'm gonna miss Saint Petersburg after graduated. Apparently I have 2 months left to enjoy the warm summer of mother Russia. No matter how bad people talk about living in Russia, (about the system and cost of living), still I feel so grateful being here and learn on this Russian land.

The final project will start on May, gonna be hectic with my advisor Mr. Danilovski. I hope the best for the 3rd batch of Malaysian engineering students of Saint Petersburg, best of luck marines!

Little Boy

When I was a little kid, I still remember when we had a bad time. We need to save up really bad, and at that time I was just a boy in primary school.

At that time we had so many extra class for the UPSR examination. So, we need to stay back after school time for 2 more hours and the class ended at 6 if I'm not mistaken. My mum had to cut out our expenditure on my bus. That's mean I only went to school by bus and my dad will fetch me up right after work. My dad really working hard on his thing, the business and stuff. I am 12 but I can understand that economic scene was bad at that time.

When the classes ended, my friends will run to the main gate with excitement thinking of going back. Some of them by bus and I can surely say most of them with their parent. I will looking for my dad outside the main gate first even though I knew he's going to be late because of things that I know much more important at least to our family. There, I will sit at the little usual place behind the guard's room, a wooden chair with a small roof.

Sometime when its really late, I will walk back home. It's kind of cool actually walking home from school, feel like you're big enough just like the guy with green pants with fancy necktie from the secondary schools. Plus, its not so far.

I still remember this one time, my dad asked me why I walked back home and didn't wait for him. I said, its not a big deal because its late in the evening and the guard always have to wait for me to close the main gate.

And he said to me :

"Remember this time very well, when we at the downside of life. The struggle and hardship we are facing, you remember it so you won't forget the hardship of other people when you grow up someday"

It been years and now I know what kind of hardship he meant. Never looked down on people no matter how great you are. What is the use of status and money when we ignore other people in need?

Puzzle

"Love works in a magical way, like million of puzzle, there will be one completed you"

Imagine yourself searching for a puzzle to complete you. You searching for it, match it, when you feel it won't match you search again and again. Before you start to search for the missing piece, you have to know the shape that you already have. Yourself

You ask yourself at what you really want, what you really need, what makes you happy, what makes you feel bad. There, you will know the ups and down in your life. There's no single person created by god to be perfect. Human needs each other to survive in life.

Someone asked me once, how did I know that one person is the puzzle I searching for?

It's easy.

When you in a bad state, there's always "Its gonna be okay, I know you did the best".
When you have a good story, there's always an ear for you.
When you feel sad, there's always funny face to cheer you up.

Good and bad, happy or sad. Always there.

Actually you don't have to find a perfect puzzle to fill up your shape. You just need to search a puzzle that you can appreciate it with whole your heart. A puzzle that you can cheer up, listening to and share the story together with you.

My other piece puzzle is perfect to me because she complete me in a way that I can't imagine.

So if you ask me about my other puzzle, yea I found it. The piece of puzzle that I love to spend with for the rest of my life :)

Indonesian Music

This one is classy and you can feel the classic feeling from the piano by Riza Arshad. Remind me the white shoes and the couples company band.

I think this one is a poem convert to music by Anda and Bonita. I really love the lyric, it just beautiful and in fact I always love Indonesian's poetry. The language, how they express their feeling in words is so global, unlike us typical love poetry

This is why I always think Indonesian's music is wider than us. The melody, the style never fade in time. Their youth is far mature in music compared to Malaysian's. Truth!

University Malaysia Pahang Interview

I've been on interview last week held at Oktyaberskaya Hotel with the representative from University Malaysia Pahang. Actually I didn't give my name for interview earlier and  decided to join one day before as walk-in.

The interview wal all about the UMP's program to develop a marine faculty which consist various of professional man power from different countries such as Russia, Germany and United States. Whoever selected will be doing their masters program for 1 year and half in UMP and 4 years Phd in United states

The interview was excellent and although it is not my top priority but it is kind of a good question regarding my future. So far we got 6 successful candidates for this program out of 10 and we don't know who are they yet.

Sekuel Kepalmawie 2

"Woii, Najwa Latiff woi!"

Kedengaran suara dari belah belakang crowd. Pakcik berumur lingkungan 50-an naik ke pentas lalu mendebik Najwa Latiff tanpa banyak cerita.

"Alaa Pian Remuk ni satu hal la.. dah tau kencing manis pegi togak sirap bandung siapa suruh.

Kalau dijemput Noraniza Idris mungkin lagi kick aku rasa. Lepas tu berduet perform lagu Pak Ngah.

"Wuuyaii, kalau betul best ni. Crowd mesti gila punya, elakkan berkampung macam woodstock ni karang"

"Ah biorlah, Pak Ngah tu pun entah apa cerita sekarang ye"

Dia bukan tak tau, dekat area wembley ni mana nak cari surau.

Cerita pasal Kepalmawie banyak la jugak aku tau. Kadang-kadang Kak Som kerani di ofis aku tu selalu tertinggal majalah hiburan kat tempat buat kopi. Sambil minum kopi, aku selak la sikit-sikit baca hal artis. Tahun 2009 tak silap, kepalmawie ni putus tunang dengan Jeslina Hashim. Tak lama lepas tu timbul pulak gosip dia bergaduh dengan Radhi Khalid di set filem. Ni baru-baru ni dia menafikan berhubungan sulit dengan Uji Rashid. Boleh tahan juga eksotik taste kepalmawie ni.

Bersambung..

1 Year

One year has passed since I knew this one girl. The one I share about my life everyday, good and bad time together. The story started when we met on blogging world 3 years ago. At that time we just another blog fan, just ordinary. Sometime we chat on yahoo messenger. Then we lost contact.

But never under estimate the power of social networking, we met again on twitter last year on this very day. Then only we started to talk frequently, sharing and talking about life again everyday on Blackberry messenger. Somehow we both know what we both feel for each other. It took whole 3 years for me to understand it and now here we are. Been officially 1 year!

Happy 1 year anniversary Azie Nur'Auni! It just a small step and as you said, more is coming and I am ready for it :)

Ps : This is the video made by her, our story!

Some Guys Are Totally Stupid

Sometime when it comes to women, the guys become something else. Their nerves become loose and can't transmit the information properly to their brain, so in other word : Idiot

1. When a girl post a picture
Some guys will say : "tomeynya"
-What the hell is that? "tomey"? come on.. She's a well  grown woman, not a kindergarten kid so don't use that word. If you're trying being cute, well it isn't but makes you look like a fool

2. When a girl check in at some place on facebook or foursquare
Some guys (stranger) will say : "Eh, dekat je dengan rumah I. Kenapa tak cakap?"
- Seriously? You expect a girl calling you and say "Eh I tak kenal you but jom la join makan sekali."? Woah, this is crazy as shit. You clearly don't even know the girl, just follow her on instagram and out of sudden that is your comment? If some girl call you and say like that, she's crazy.

3. When a girl post picture of foods.
Some guys will say : "Pos la sini jugak"
-This is seriously super abnormal human being. That is not funny and people who said this should be beaten to pulp, then tie their hands and legs and put them in the middle of highway so they will be knocked down by some trailers and disappear from this earth.

4. When a girl update their sad/disappoint status on Facebook
Some guys (stranger) will say : "Takpe, you boleh share your prob dengan I"
-You are definitely a stranger to this girl and suddenly you're trying to be a "pakar psikologi"? You trying to be a "genius problem solver" to her but you yourself are repeating the same semester in college. Let me picture this : A girl was so down with works and update her status and you read it. Then you imagine that after you reply her, she will share her sad story with you, you help her to solve her problem, the girl fall in love with you, 2 weeks later you're marrying her and live happily ever after. My advice : pour some acid on your face and then I'll welcome you back to reality.

5. When a girl post a picture of her with football jersey
Some guys will say : "GGMU! Malam ni MU lawan Chelsea, *bla bla history MU*
-There are 2 possibilities. First, she is really a fan of MU and no need your history lesson from you and second, she just wear it for fun and no need your history lesson from you. Both are the same, "NO need HISTORY LESSON from you" so save it dude.

Just go

There's moment when your dream were so clear than the reality
The memories, the things left behind us,
Seems so perfect now, in that dream of me.
I started that step long time ago, left my bag of memories and walk away
And i'm not looking back because you wouldn't look at me anymore too
Don't come again,
If you gonna go away and left me alone just like you did.
Both in reality and my dream, it's unfair.
Unfair to me and unfair to people around me.
Just go away,
I promise I'm not gonna forget you, or hate you.
Just go away.

Happy Birthday Doc!

10 facts about Azie Nur'Auni

Myself And The Bands

Our local music scene in Malaysia isn't much different compared to others. I can say our local underground music had evolved, with all kind of genres since 90's. I grew up listening to Malaysian rock since I was 5. My aunt really influenced me at that time so I remembered the songs from Wings, May and Bumiputera Rockers before I got into kindergarten.

In mid 2000, I was in standard 4. The music scene in JB at that time was all about skinhead. Most of my friend have brother in secondary school whom started their skinhead band so I mixed with them and we listened to their songs. Skinhead influence at that time was huge and there were many gigs in JB here and there. There were so many skinhead bands at that time and I started to listen to  ACAB, Roots and Boots, and The Official.

2003, I went to boarding school. Far away in deserted land of Kuala Klawang. That place was like a dead town back then but I am grateful because I met many great person there. I started to listen to grunge, post grunge when I was there, after I met Iskandar, my very first friend I made right after registration session. His brother was the author of Coincide zine, from Happy Community in Masjid Tanah Melaka. Butterfingers, Madhouse, Nirvana really influenced me in music so I started my first band, "White Color Pages". It was a 3 man's band with me (song writer and guitar), Zahidil Fadhli (drum) and Amaluddin (guitar)

Amal (left) UTHM, Zahidil (right) Malaysia Airlines engineer

After PMR, we went to different school. I went to MRSM Jasin in Melaka while Zahidil and Amal went to MRSM Muar in Johor. New school, new people I met, but it didn't took long for me to form a new band. I met Aizat and we shared the same interest which is grunge. At that time we managed to form a complete band, "Strata" with me (Vocal), Aizat (Drum), Arif (Guitar), Unknown (Bass). But the band was disbanded after 3 months as Arif and Qayyum transferred to different school.

Aizat, Melbourne Australia

After a while, Aizat joined an indie rock 2 man's band. I was left alone until my friend Fareez Ghani asked me to join his band at that time. A punk rock band. Yeah, it is not my preference in music at that time but I know music is wide so why not? We formed a 5 man's band, "Dear Diary" with me (Vocal), Fareez Ghani (Guitar), Aqif Ismail (Guitar), Ashraf Ahmad (Drum) and Azri Kamal (Bass). In 2007, we successfully graduated from boarding school.

Ashraf (top left) Taylor's University, Azri (top right) Halifax Canada
Fareez (bottom left) Monash University, Aqif (bottom right) Uniten

On mid 2008, I was in Unikl MIAT for preparation in engineering for a year. I met my friend, Adie and my seniors, Hasrizal and Naem  from my former boarding school there. So we formed a britpop band with me (guitar), Adie (guitar), Naem (drum), Hasrizal (Vocal) and Qayyum (bass). On June 2009, I further my study in Russia.

Moskovski Train Station

This is an underground restaurant with Uzbekistan cuisine which I can say our new eating place. Actually we went there for the Moskovski train station to send our friend back to Moscow as the new semester already started.

There were full of Uzbekis and other Muslim community in Saint Peter. Their food is little bit different from kebab which can be found in most Europe country and really the Uzbekis are real "eater"

ps : Good luck to final semester student of State Marine Technical University and Moscow Aviation Institute.

Charles Darwin and Humanism

"At some future period, not very distant as measured by centuries, the civilized races of man will almost certainly exterminate, and replace the savage races throughout the world. "
-Charles Darwin, 1809-1882

As years passed by, the theory on the origin of species, initially proposed by Charles Darwin was said to be inconclusive and unrealistic by some people. The main reason why people exclaim the theory was irrelevant is because of a simple branching pattern of evolution : Human is descendant of apes.

I didn't say I am 100% believe that theory and yet as a Muslim, we know that it is impossible. Our religion thought us the history of human started from Adam A.S which was the first first human being created by Allah S.W.T. We learned how he created Adam from several type of soils, with 2 legs for walk, with 2 hands complete with 5 fingers each, and the most incredible thing called intelligence.

Yes, humans are totally not descended  from ape. But I like the way on how Darwin thought about humanism, the way we think and the social awareness. Have you ever think how many percent we did thing based on our intelligence? Then you will say, of course we did thing based on what our mind wanted to do.

So, if that the case let me explain the thing that I am very sure every people did.

Ignoring the starving beggar on the street without even look at them? yes you did.
You kill people with your words? yes you did.
Hurt somebody to gain something you desire? yes you did.

I can conclude the intelligence of humans is not enough. There's something missing and I call it "humanism". As I look on the history, there is not a single century proved that human community achieved a total intelligence way of life.

Roman empires? declined in the reign of Romulus Augustus, failed because of moral decay on September 476

Fatimid Caliphate? declined in the reign of Caliph Adid, failed because of decay political system on 1160

Han Dynasty of China? declined in the reign of Yuan Shao, failed because of hierarchic social class.

The root of the problem is inside us, inside human. To build an empire is simple. Money, great army, and weapon is all you need. To build a human perception, you need billion years. Hard as teaching the monkey eat by using fork and spoon.

Blackberry Z10

Last year when I read on Yahoo! about Blackberry, they were listed as one of the brand that gonna wiped off on the face of wallstreet market starting on 2013. Yesterday people witnessed the "re-birth" of the RIM and the newest OS Blackberry 10 as Z10 are already in market in Great Britain.

Screenshot of the OS 10

 Physical comparison with Iphone 5

Back view of Z10 and Iphone 5

To be honest, Z10 is more elegant-classy look with the casing and the screen is just so neat and simple. The looks from the interface seems like Jellybean to me but I am sure it is the best OS from RIM so far and people would love it!

Z10 came with 8 megapixel built in camera, full 4.2 inch touch screen, 8 gb class 2 microSD card, 1280x768  pixel WXGA HD resolution, and more comfortable grip than Iphone 5.

The Blackberry is well known in the business area and I still remember how easy to manage my email by using the Bold. This Z10 came with privacy setting and RIM's encrypted servers along with parental control (Do you really need parental control in 2013? )

Price? Z10 is expected to be in US market with $600 on the February.

ps : I love the appearance of Z10 and the interface. Just hoping the 3rd party apps will love it too

Jesus Christ Descendant?

Last night I spent some time scrolling the picture I took on my tour to "hospitaalmusseum" in Brugge, Belgium. It's a chronology of modern medical and the role of Christianity at that time. They believe Christianity developed along with the medical scene. There's a lot of interesting painting and they were beautiful and classy.

Then I went to "Heilig-Bloedbasiliek" (Basilica of Holy Blood), a church which also in Brugge. Interesting about this chapel is the "Holy Blood", the blood of Jesus Christ from the crucifixion.

The painting of "Holy Blood" on the main wall of the Basilica

The tomb that contain the Holy Blood

The Holy Blood in the relic

So I scrolled the pictures and the thing that really catch my intention is the paintings. The paintings of Jesus Christ and how he was crucified. There's always this woman, clearly painted with him. So I googling more about her and turned out that she is Saint Mary Magdalene, a woman that can be seen in almost painting of Jesus Christ.

Who is Saint Mary Magdalene?

Jesus Crucifixion and Mary Magdalene praying for him, Grunewald 1515

Crucifixion, Sandro Botticelli 1497

She is the most important female disciple in the movement of Jesus Christ. Her name stated in the new testament as the loyal female disciple of Jesus and misnamed by several Christians as "sinful woman" or prostitute.

Since 1982, people are arguing the fact wether Saint Mary is really the companion of Jesus Christ and some of them agree that Christ descendants are continued by Saint Mary. Some Christians believe Saint Mary Magdalene and her descendant was protected by group of Knight Templers. Myth in France stated there's a special group that entrusted with that duty called '' Priory of Sion"

Looking at the logo, I remembered something,

Yea, I was in boy scout!

Self-Driving Car by Google

Have you experienced when you feel sleepy while driving or your kids distract you in car? You got tickets for speed limit or you parked in the wrong spot maybe? Have you ever thought about a car that can drive you automatically? This is a brief video of a self-driving car demonstrated by Steve Mahan collaborated with Google co.

So what do you think? Basically it still a concept to build a perfect transportation which can be used by people even if they are disable. To think about that, I feel it is possible. I can say that Google really advancing in technology and try their best to give what people need.

I am sure you are aware of Google map. What if we sync every car on road with Google map? We just put in the destination and the car will drive itself according to the condition given by the GPS system on Google map. Google map itself is advancing from time to time and to use the system, people will be given their own account which is associated with their license so you can't use the car unless with license certified by goverment. Speed limit, traffic condition, safest and short route, all decide by the system and we just sit back and relax.

Then, we don't need any police to control the traffic on peak hours, we don't need AES, We can reduce accident and the best thing is we won't see assholes on road with 3rd class driving manner anymore.

Relationship & Women

There's time when people around me asking about relationship. Their relationship, not mine. So basically I would say the same thing over and over. Its not tips but what I believe in a relationship from my perspective as a guy

1. Treat a woman as a woman. Not someone that you think you own and have right on her. They aren't asking you to treat them as a queen, just someone you care. Even a simplest thing can make them happiest person in the universe.

2. Respect her as a human. Being her boyfriend doesn't mean you can say whatever you want to say. If you meet someone stranger, you won't say things ridiculously right? So think twice before you speak.

3. Give her privacy. You don't have to check on her 24/7, where she go or what she doing every 5 minutes.

4. Trust her as you trust someone you care. From the moment you decide to choose her, that's mean you decided to give her your trust, so do her. Never break the trust given to you

5. Keep your ego down low. If it is you fault, then you say sorry. You aren't perfect. Admit you fault and never ever hope she will forgive you right away. She is not a robot. Women have feeling too and even complicated.

6. Speak the truth. Lies won't settle up your problem. Truth can be hurtful sometime but it is better than denying.

7. Sit down talk session. When things go wrong, sit down and talk to her nicely and speak what you feel and ask what she think. Then you will know where to start the fixing phase.

8. Be a gentleman. Be someone she can rely to when she needs you. Women won't seek for solution. They prefer someone they can talk to, not Einstein. So just listen at what she want to share, won't cost you a penny.

9. Appreciate. What she did, or what she say to you, just appreciate her cause that's what a woman do when she care.

10. Never compare her. You don't have to point out their flaws and compare her with other person which you think perfect. Even Mother Teresa isn't a perfect woman. If you gonna do that, don't choose her in the first place
