Just go

There's moment when your dream were so clear than the reality
The memories, the things left behind us,
Seems so perfect now, in that dream of me.
I started that step long time ago, left my bag of memories and walk away
And i'm not looking back because you wouldn't look at me anymore too
Don't come again,
If you gonna go away and left me alone just like you did.
Both in reality and my dream, it's unfair.
Unfair to me and unfair to people around me.
Just go away,
I promise I'm not gonna forget you, or hate you.
Just go away.

Myself And The Bands

Our local music scene in Malaysia isn't much different compared to others. I can say our local underground music had evolved, with all kind of genres since 90's. I grew up listening to Malaysian rock since I was 5. My aunt really influenced me at that time so I remembered the songs from Wings, May and Bumiputera Rockers before I got into kindergarten.

In mid 2000, I was in standard 4. The music scene in JB at that time was all about skinhead. Most of my friend have brother in secondary school whom started their skinhead band so I mixed with them and we listened to their songs. Skinhead influence at that time was huge and there were many gigs in JB here and there. There were so many skinhead bands at that time and I started to listen to  ACAB, Roots and Boots, and The Official.

2003, I went to boarding school. Far away in deserted land of Kuala Klawang. That place was like a dead town back then but I am grateful because I met many great person there. I started to listen to grunge, post grunge when I was there, after I met Iskandar, my very first friend I made right after registration session. His brother was the author of Coincide zine, from Happy Community in Masjid Tanah Melaka. Butterfingers, Madhouse, Nirvana really influenced me in music so I started my first band, "White Color Pages". It was a 3 man's band with me (song writer and guitar), Zahidil Fadhli (drum) and Amaluddin (guitar)

Amal (left) UTHM, Zahidil (right) Malaysia Airlines engineer

After PMR, we went to different school. I went to MRSM Jasin in Melaka while Zahidil and Amal went to MRSM Muar in Johor. New school, new people I met, but it didn't took long for me to form a new band. I met Aizat and we shared the same interest which is grunge. At that time we managed to form a complete band, "Strata" with me (Vocal), Aizat (Drum), Arif (Guitar), Unknown (Bass). But the band was disbanded after 3 months as Arif and Qayyum transferred to different school.

Aizat, Melbourne Australia

After a while, Aizat joined an indie rock 2 man's band. I was left alone until my friend Fareez Ghani asked me to join his band at that time. A punk rock band. Yeah, it is not my preference in music at that time but I know music is wide so why not? We formed a 5 man's band, "Dear Diary" with me (Vocal), Fareez Ghani (Guitar), Aqif Ismail (Guitar), Ashraf Ahmad (Drum) and Azri Kamal (Bass). In 2007, we successfully graduated from boarding school.

Ashraf (top left) Taylor's University, Azri (top right) Halifax Canada
Fareez (bottom left) Monash University, Aqif (bottom right) Uniten

On mid 2008, I was in Unikl MIAT for preparation in engineering for a year. I met my friend, Adie and my seniors, Hasrizal and Naem  from my former boarding school there. So we formed a britpop band with me (guitar), Adie (guitar), Naem (drum), Hasrizal (Vocal) and Qayyum (bass). On June 2009, I further my study in Russia.

Moskovski Train Station

This is an underground restaurant with Uzbekistan cuisine which I can say our new eating place. Actually we went there for the Moskovski train station to send our friend back to Moscow as the new semester already started.

There were full of Uzbekis and other Muslim community in Saint Peter. Their food is little bit different from kebab which can be found in most Europe country and really the Uzbekis are real "eater"

ps : Good luck to final semester student of State Marine Technical University and Moscow Aviation Institute.

Charles Darwin and Humanism

"At some future period, not very distant as measured by centuries, the civilized races of man will almost certainly exterminate, and replace the savage races throughout the world. "
-Charles Darwin, 1809-1882

As years passed by, the theory on the origin of species, initially proposed by Charles Darwin was said to be inconclusive and unrealistic by some people. The main reason why people exclaim the theory was irrelevant is because of a simple branching pattern of evolution : Human is descendant of apes.

I didn't say I am 100% believe that theory and yet as a Muslim, we know that it is impossible. Our religion thought us the history of human started from Adam A.S which was the first first human being created by Allah S.W.T. We learned how he created Adam from several type of soils, with 2 legs for walk, with 2 hands complete with 5 fingers each, and the most incredible thing called intelligence.

Yes, humans are totally not descended  from ape. But I like the way on how Darwin thought about humanism, the way we think and the social awareness. Have you ever think how many percent we did thing based on our intelligence? Then you will say, of course we did thing based on what our mind wanted to do.

So, if that the case let me explain the thing that I am very sure every people did.

Ignoring the starving beggar on the street without even look at them? yes you did.
You kill people with your words? yes you did.
Hurt somebody to gain something you desire? yes you did.

I can conclude the intelligence of humans is not enough. There's something missing and I call it "humanism". As I look on the history, there is not a single century proved that human community achieved a total intelligence way of life.

Roman empires? declined in the reign of Romulus Augustus, failed because of moral decay on September 476

Fatimid Caliphate? declined in the reign of Caliph Adid, failed because of decay political system on 1160

Han Dynasty of China? declined in the reign of Yuan Shao, failed because of hierarchic social class.

The root of the problem is inside us, inside human. To build an empire is simple. Money, great army, and weapon is all you need. To build a human perception, you need billion years. Hard as teaching the monkey eat by using fork and spoon.
